A strong team of administrators, board members, advisors, sponsors and research partners enables Steadman Philippon Research Institute (SPRI) to operate as an independent, tax-exempt (IRS code 501(c)(3)) charitable organization, employing scientists, researchers, fellows, visiting scholars, and interns. SPRI is fortunate to draw upon the talents of respected members of local, national, and international communities with business, medical, and scientific backgrounds who all share a common interest in keeping people active.

The Steadman Philippon Research Institute is recognized globally for its pioneering research in osteoarthritis, healing, surgery, and injury prevention and rehabilitation. Since 1993, SPRI's database (one of the largest in existence) has been collecting the patient information that has led to significant treatment advancements in these areas.
